.lk Domain Name Rules & Restrictions

There are certain restrictions and policies set by the registry that must be followed by each applicant. The registry prohibits offensive and obscene names, as well as those that confuse or mislead the public. The names of towns, provinces and abbreviations as well as generic names that represent professions, internet services, generic products, names of sports, and so forth, are not allowed.
